Rare Butterflies in the Rio Grande Valley

 

The Rio Grande Valley’s location north of Mexico and west of the Gulf of Mexico allows a unique influx of rare butterflies. Some flutter their way from northern parts of Mexico or get caught up in unique migratory patterns and end up in the mass groups of rare butterflies of the Rio Grande Valley.
